Will I feel any results from going carnivore for a 5 day test run?

carnivore

(Keto butts drive me nuts) #1

Thinking about a little test. Will I see or feel anything with a short 5 day carnivore meal plan??? Just wondering??? I am in ketosis and fat adapted. Just wondering what others have experienced with trying?

You might… you might not… try it and see?

Edit to add if you eat only beef don’t expect to poop… the amount of waste is amazingly small.

When I did it, I didn’t notice a big change in the first week except that I stopped needing to go #2 but once every one or two days, and that was odd but not unwelcome. I mean, who wants to spend their lives on the toilet like a vegan. lol

If you’re already keto, you probably won’t drop lots of weight right away, in fact some even gain weight at first if they are metabolically damaged from previous years of low calorie dieting. Just eat to satiety, fatty red meat is ideal for most, and trust your body to ask for what it needs.

To really know what it will do for you, you might need to extend that 5 day period to at least two weeks or a month, but you have to start somewhere.

Man, you people are lucky, saving on toilet paper like that. I, unfortunately, fell into the Buy A Shit-ton of Toilet Paper group for about a month, which has just recently begun to resolve itself.

Still waiting for the muscle fatigue to dissipate and the weight loss to kick in. Thank goodness there were other non-scale victories or I’d be numbing the emotional frustration with heroin.

Oh, and in answer to the OP, yeah, I noticed almost immediate relief from joint (and other) inflammation going carnivore, which rocks because my right knee had been swearing at me through two years of keto.

Depends. Usually the advice is to try beef and water for 30 days at a minimum. It can take a year or more to fully adapt for some people.

You are not cheering me up. (groan)

It could take 2 weeks, too. I just don’t want to get someone’s hopes up so they quit before they recognize the benefits. Happens a lot. :stuck_out_tongue:

Keep calm and eat beef on!

Most folks try it for 30 days. I didn’t see much in the first week. But I liked how I felt after 30 days, much less inflamation and less appitite. So now 10 months later I am still Carnivore and have had no reason to go back to keto. I sure don’t miss the veggies or the extra shoping, cooking , cleaning. Just Meat is really simple

Eat beef on what? I’m getting all sorts of nasty visuals, here…
