Why the blurred out words?

I have seen a few posts where certain words have been blurred out.
Is this because some offence might be caused ?
And is it admins who blur out these words.

Posters blur out the words themselves. Part of the community voluntarily managing the forum.

Normally it iis done when using curse words. Also used in fasting threads to blur out references to foods.

You just have to click on it to see what it says.

You highlight the text, click on the gear icon above the text edit screen and select the “spoiler” option, like this:

This is hidden by spoiler tags.
