What dishes do you use cumin in? Anyone notice any health benefits?

I make a keema burger (my own recipe) with cumin. I also make baingan bharta with cumin. I haven’t noticed any health benefits but I am so new to keto that I am still being amaz d by all of the health benefits I am reaping.

I add it to minced beef before adding to sour cream and cheese.

Also use it with other spices to marinade chicken when making curry butter chicken.

Havent noticed any effects from it but i’m sure its doing something

I use it in my taco seasoning, Mexican Faux Rice, and curried cabbage recipes. I haven’t noticed any benefits except taste, then again I don’t eat that stuff all the time either, maybe once a month or so depending.

Cumin features heavily in my cabbage soup. Also in one of my steak rubs. Love it.

I use a lot of spices and herbs including cumin. Curiously for every single one you can find “surprising” health benefits on the internet, especially from sites like Organic Facts. Here’s their take on brown sugar:

I think it’s important to take this info with a grain of salt. Or ignore the info and just take the salt…

I use it on everything

I think in general all herbs and spices are beneficial, and can certainly change up a dish. Cumin is not my favorite spice (I hate the smell) but since my husband does a lot of the cooking, I get a hefty dose daily. Anecdotally? It is helpful for bloating.

Just about every other Indian or Mexican recipe has cumin.

I use it in chili verde, chicken soup, & in meat rubs.
