When will I look different?

Hi Guys,
I’m now on day 36 of this lifestyle.
I’ve changed things up and slowly but surely I’m now at a stage where I’m eating 2 meals per day with plenty of fat and protein.
The intermittent fasting is easy now and I’ve no hunger pangs at all.
My main problem now is that after the 36 days I look the exact same and my clothes are just as tight and ill fitting. When did you notice a change in your body shape or have anyone comment asking if you’d lost weight?
This is frustrating but I’m here for the long haul.
Any advice would be appreciated x

I personally didn’t notice any difference in my clothes or how I looked until I had lost over 30 pounds --I was wearing the same clothes too (although they were a bit baggy). But, having said that; I have now lost 67 pounds and everyone is commenting how great I look, and I have gone from a Size 4X to now wearing Size1X and I still have over 90 pounds to lose for goal weight – which I think will take me about 2 more years or so =-). Best wishes on your Keto journey --it is not a diet, but a lifestyle, and remember that the tortoise won the race! Slow and steady keeps the weight off for life if you stick with the lifestyle forever =).

You’ve done great, well done!!
I have about 100lbs to lose but thought trying on the same shirt and jeans every 2 weeks I’d see a difference but no, they are all still far too tight and impossible to button up.
Very frustrating.

You will get there =)). I was 293, I am now 226 and my goal is 130. Feel free to check out my Accountability Thread and/or our Centurion thread --(those of us wanting to lose 100 or more pounds) for more ideas and support =)).

Women often find that it takes several weeks for their hormones to re-regulate themselves, before the fat loss even begins.

The speed of fat loss also appears to depend on how much excess fat we have to lose. People with only ten pounds extra find it hard and slow going. People with 100 pounds typically tend to lose much faster at first, but even they find the last ten pounds as slow-going as the rest of us.

Do you have any clothes that fit well now? They may be a better measure at first as they get looser. Sometimes it is hard to differentiate different degrees of uncomfortable. Or use a tape measure once a week. I have a handy mole at waist height to help make sure I hit the same spot each time I measure.

Would you say that people with lots of extremely small fat cells have less excess fat than people who have very few extremely engorged fat cells?
