When I blood test I am all over the place/

If your reading this you are seeing numbers that you question being right.

Here is some advice from a T2d that could help, Over many years of testing I have learned that things you normally wouldn’t think about will effect readings.

  • Wash your hands before pricking.
the strip will pick up residues that will increase readings.
  • Use new lancets
this will hurt less than used ones and won’t have blood/toxins that might affect readings as well.
  • And don’t be afraid to wipe off the first drop with something clean to get to the second drop that might be cleaner

I have seen glucose numbers fluctuate 20 mmol/L.

Hope this helps.

That’s good advice. Since I’m the only one that uses the painful little fucker, it’s easy to forget to load fresh lancets in there.
