When does fat loss end?

If a person eats keto to satiation and does intermittent fasting, say 16/8 and maybe does a couple of longer fast per year. What will the bodyweight percentage/weight end up at? At some point weight loss will end i guess and we will reach a steady state. IF (and maybe keto itself indirectly) can lower the bodys ”set point” weight but this has to level of at some point as well.

I am guessing a person will end up at above 10 percent bodyfat and below 25 percent. Do we know where most people will end up? 18 percent? (Yes there will be a distribution and males/females are likely to differ).

If I want to lower it more to say 15, is more fasting the way, or calorie restriction or what?

Best regards,
T

Calorie restriction will really screw you. Read the obesity code, by Fung. I would assume omad with the occasional EF would get you pretty trim. There’s not a lot of body builder types here. Most of us just don’t want to die. I’d research what the ultra marathoners end up like. There times go up since they are so lean and they burn a ton of fat. I don’t know what their set point is either. Everyone has a certain set point that the brain tries to keep you healthy and able to withstand a food emergency.

I think most people that plateau look pretty damn skinny compared to most 'mericans.

Your question is impossible to answer on a generalized basis. Probably the biggest influencer is genetics. The closest answer for you is to look at your parents and your siblings. Beyond them, chances are there’s someone in your broader family who has a build similar to you (or the idealized version you’re trying to achieve).
