A close friend of mine, with superb carb tolerance and great metabolism, keeps sending me articles about various “healthy” diets that include lots of “healthy” grains and fruit. I’d like him to understand what we all understand about the science: that if your body is predisposed to obesity, it’s carbs that’ll get you there. Just like, as Taubes says, the relationship between cigarettes and lung cancer. Not every smoker gets it, but for those predisposed, it’s deadly.
TL;DR: what, in your view, is the best Gary Taubes lecture for him? He pretty much gives the same stump speech every time, but I’d like to send my friend the best, most concise, best-quality version.
