In my quest for pleasant, comforting, distracting beverages when I’m not eating, some of what I prepare have 1, or maybe 2, grams of carbs. I assume it would be better to have 0, or just drink water, but at this point in time, I need the training wheels. So… does anyone know what sort of ‘harm’ 1- 2 g will do with respect to insulin rise, etc. They definitely keep hunger at bay.
What will consuming 'only' 1 or 2 g of carbs do?

Lol I never expected to see a question like this, you would be on your way to some serious fasting depending on the source chosen, may want to add some protein to that for glucagon and some fat! Lol
Correction:
Sorry did not see the “beverage” part in your post (my bad). Lol

Unless you are ultra sensitive to carbs (very unlikely) they should be no trouble. We don’t worry about 1 carb in an egg
If you have it in between meals it has more impact that with a meal but at that level it should still be negligible. KCKO

Thanks. I couldn’t find any info about such minimal carb intake. I didn’t think that low should have much impact, …but you never know.

The reason you find carbs in meats is that they contain small amounts of residual glycogen.
