It depends. On the days with 7dl milk, itās milk⦠(I thought those days are over but nope.)
On my best days, itās eggs.
And off days can do anything but itās about keto days, right?
(7dl milk is totally keto for me, even carnivore-ish most of the time. And such days happen very, very rarely.)
But for the average keto day of mine⦠I looked at my notes here⦠Does dairy count as one? It may or may not be a bigger contributor than eggs, it depends how I like to eat that time and what I have⦠On a normal day eggs bring more carbs but I have very carby days with much dairy so if we look at the average, dairy may be the first unless I have a really low dairy phase.
It itās separate items, eggs are the winner.
I loved onions but I probably didnāt use them sooo much even on normal keto let alone during the years where I usually tried to stay close to carnivore as much as it was comfortably possible. My stews have it but thatās a few grams of carbs 1-2 times a month. I get the same amount from eggs every day⦠Itās another matter that I consider my animal carbs pretty much irrelevant as I feel the same getting 3g or 20g or more.
On my original keto it was vegs, 25g net carbs a day (I remember making sure I use up my allowance in order to limit my dissatisfaction with my super tiny veg intake. I missed my vegs, I only could ate 1kg a day or something, less than minimal for me. and thatās the reason I ate 40g net carbs on keto. and because I could). Next was oily seeds. Then eggs, then fruits.
I often eat liver but the average is still only 1g carbs per day, eggs win easily. Egg only lose 1-3 days per month against liver.
