What is your favorite Halloween Candy? RESIST!

#1

I’d have to go with Butterfinger - Butterfinger BB’s when they still existed.

(Tom Seest) #2

My favorite was the little candy corns and pumpkins. But, I haven’t had them in years, and don’t have the desire for them anymore…

Reeses peanut butter cups…super yummy

Fight the urge…

“But resist, we much, we must, and we will much, about that, be committed.”

Hamburger! LOL!!

Seriously, I could have had anything I wanted for supper tonight. I had a nice, juicy, tender hamburger! No bun, but a cauliflower hashbrown underneath worked well.

As much as I like my keto desserts, I’m kinda losing my sweet tooth… (sigh)

Almond Joy.

Enjoyed most candy back in the day, but have to agree with @grinch734, going with Butterfinger. (But it might be tie with the 100,000 bar (Hundred Thousand bar).

Actually, back, back in the day, maybe 35-40 years ago, one of the favorites in my neighborhood, wasn’t even candy per se. - My Mom used to make homemade Toffee Popcorn Balls to give out. (Size of a baseball) The neighborhood kids loved them. But it was a different world back then. :face_with_raised_eyebrow:

Give me a Snickers bar every time. Except today (or ever again), I’m on a 3-day fast.

Anyone remember candy kisses? Everyone liked to make fun of them, say they were the worst candy ever, etc. But I liked them because they were something different; you could only acquire them on Halloween. You can get Butterfinger any time.

Lol I literally just went through the kids’ Halloween candy and commented that the chocolate I miss most is butterfinger. Then I came here.

The was my first Halloween on keto, I haven’t cheated since I started on January 2nd and I wasn’t going to start tonight. I Had a Dr. Atkins chocolate peanut butter bar. It isn’t the perfect food but that was all I had for my dinner tonight while I passed out candy to the trick or treaters. I feel to very proud of myself, I didn’t have one little chocolate bar that was full of carbs!

Smarties. Never been a big chocolate lover. Can take it or leave it.

Rockets! Mars Bars!

I use to love Reese’s peanut butter cups but had a bite of one a couple days ago and it was awful! I gave the rest to hubby and had a piece of 80% chocolate instead. Ahh, much better!
We’re not missing anything!

For four nights now I have sat with a lady with dementia and a house full of jelly candies, chocolate with caramel centres, Halloween candy, wherthers, cookies and double fudge brownie cake. I have so far resisted. It is so hard. I have noticed a lot of dementia clients eat a lot of sweets. Give me strength, I am a recovering chocoholic.

Thankfully I’ve never had much of a sweet tooth but any of the holiday inspired Reese’s peanut butter shapes (especially the eggs!) were soooooo good.

(Michelle M Motschman) #18

Mine too… I love the candy corn and pumpkins!!!

(Dan Dan) #19

Or at least under 2 teaspoons a day, as I am getting some in creamcheese and ranch dressing.

But my weakness if I did indulge would be Reese peanut butter cups, Oh they are sweet goodness. LoL.
