I did use the search bar to try to find the answer to this, but didn’t have much luck. I know what a fast is, but I am not sure what is different about a zorn fast?
What is the difference between a zorn fast and a regular fast?
A ZORN fast is just a name for a fast Inspired by one of the most colorful moderators Brenda Zorn. She fasts herself for extended periods once a month and folks have joined in to ‘fast’ as a group. Nothing technical in a Zorn fast - just support and fun!
You forgot the bit where you have to celebrate the fast upon completion with a selection of deep fried sprouts!
During a Zornfast you get to decide your own fasting goals and “rules” so no one can tell you you’re doing it all “wrong”.
@larry @carolT No doubt a Zorn fast sounds like fun and from what I’ve heard of @Brenda on the @dudes podcast & seen on this forum the level of respect & admiration she has here is very well deserved. However if people come to this site without knowledge of the 2kd Facebook group, as I have, it is puzzling to see a Zornfast category but no Fasting/IF category, not even a Fungfast category. Is there any chance that fasting might get its own category or sub category in kerogenic forums apart from Zornfast ? I’ve heard @richard & @carl discuss this great forum site they have created & their hope that it will touch millions of people in time. If a million people end up Zornfasting that would be awesome but it seems to me that fasting in its many different forms can be a significant part of many keto people’s lifestyle & would be worthy of a category beyond/above Zornfast. I’m searching for & finding fasting posts spread throughout this site, would be nice to be able to see many of them in the one place.
Thanks Louise, others had picked up on this before me, there is a thread called Fasting in the Site Feedback category (which I don’t know how to link to!) where it has been discussed. Hopefully my feedback won’t see me black banned from participating in a Zornfast at some stage!
I’m just catching up as well (been on family holiday for the past week). There is a zornfast category in the Food section too!
And here I was googling “ZornFast” and finding nothing until coming back to this forum.
Thanks for the Clarification guys.
