What happened to the "Numbers Needed to Treat" Website?

Yesterday I was responding on another forum to someone who said her doctor (and diabetic!) husband researched the keto diet 20 years ago and found that while it helped “some people” it didn’t work for a large population and therefore he would never recommend it. Sigh. . .

Anyway, I pointed out that he probably regularly prescribed statins, which don’t really do much in the way of primary prevention for a large population–particularly women, and I wanted to link to the NNT website, which had a great analysis of the actual vs. relative data. The homepage is still up http://www.thennt.com/, but none of their links or searches work anymore. :disappointed:

They were a really good resource. Anybody know what happened to that site?

Boo. That’s a shame. They were a great resource.

I guess big pharma got to them

The errors I’m seeing suggest the site may have been hacked, or at least experiencing technical issues, so I’d keep trying every once and while to see if it comes back.

It’s back up again–hooray!
