What exactly happens between producing ketones and fat adaptation?

I’m new! I’m producing plenty of ketone’s. I heard it takes a few weeks to become “fat adapted”. So what exactly is happening there and what is the difference?

Your body is relearning how to use and process energy and is working it’s way towards utilizing ketones and fat for fuel.

The amount of time it takes depends on age, and how deranged your metabolism is (ie, how long you’ve been eating shitty).

Most middle aged adults will take 4-8 weeks. Some get there quickly, some will take even longer.

This article might help, & there’s lots of info in the forums & podcasts: http://www.tuitnutrition.com/2016/02/dont-be-a-ketard3.html

Thanks! Semi-informative. Still not sure what exactly the difference is other than your body gets more used to it.

Btw, that author is very rude and condescending. Reminds me of my physics proffessor who got annoyed when students didn’t already understand the world of physics before actually learning the material.

If people really want to educate and make the world a healthier place, maybe we shouldn’t shame people.
