“High-fat diets are known to negatively impact liver health and metabolism, but the mechanisms behind it are unclear.”
So unclear and unknown to us. I wonder what could it be ? Hmm…

You said it brother.
This was my clue, before any science even started. I stopped after reading this.
“Although a diet high in saturated fats is linked to NAFLD, it is not clear how fatty foods initiate these changes in the liver.”
A one word change from ‘how’ to ‘if’ would made all the difference.
When someone starts an investigation with a bias, then the outcome cant be trusted. Basically they should just say, “We know fat is bad, because fat is bad”
I highly recomend googling the health concerns with Hexane. A toxic chemical. Following that, look at how vegetable oils are made, and non-virgin olive oil, et al.
Cold pressed palm oil comes from the fruit itself. Palm kernel oil which is 80% saturated fat comes from the seed. I think it’s the oil from the kernel which is used for shelf life stability.
Avoiding plants may have more to do with availability and abundance?
Animals eat plants so logically I would think the animal you are eating is just eating the plants for you?
So realistically your still eating plants or getting your micronutritional requirements via plants but it could also be they were eating raw organelles and cooked depending on era of time?
