What did you take a photo of on your walk today? PART 3

#41

I made this photo using 3 photos to avoid the important parts being blurry, maybe someone notices it’s a fanken-photo  I don’t. Maybe I could have play with settings but I forgot their existence when the butterfly appeared, who knows how long it graces me with its presence and anyway, I like the blurred background and it’s not the first time I did something like this…

We took some bigger than usual walk…
Our camera wasn’t very cooperative and anyway, my SO was into photos but I have something too. We saw LOTS of ferns!

Trying from phone again

That domestic duck just showed up this spring and has been helping the wild ducks with their babies this year. Never saw one around here before. This is a urban area pond.

Our prettiest crape myrtle on the property. This fall after the garden is done and the temps cooler we will have a waterfall from the weir to the left of the tree and a 4-ft deep koi pool at the bottom. My neighbor has a large pond stocked with koi and a koi pool near his house and said 4-ft was deep enough for them to survive it the top freezes over in the winter. He will probably bring us some of his babies once we have it up and running.
