What did you take a photo of on your walk today? (feat. CHUNK)

Birds are chirping, it’s 15 degrees C…smells of spring

The emaciated swan, Molly, I’ve been looking after all week was collected by a swan rescue charity yesterday and will be looked after by them until she’s strong enough for release - which they think will be next week as apparently I’ve done really well feeding her up, she weighs almost 10kg after just five days of me feeding twice a day

(You've tried everything else; why not try bacon?) #1128

Is it true that all swans belong to H.M. Queen?

(Allie) #1129

No, only the ringed swans on the Thames. Common misconception.

I took these pics while walking to my computer, lol!

These are our psycho-kitties, Simba and Timon:

Timon

They may be psycho, but they are not CICO!

Here is our automatic floor cleaner, Chloe:

My Chunk knows what to do when I call out “Chunk I need a Hoover” :joy:

My sister feels that no house with toddlers should be without a dog!

(less is more, more or less) #1133

Heh, that magical canine ability. To my own horror, I spilled some schmaltz on the kitchen floor. Holly had the floor spick and span in under a minute, keto hound she be.

(Karen) #1134

Some of our deer right before the snow sitting on the lawn of the neighbor.

(Running from stupidity) #1135

That’s not lawn, that’s tree droppings

(Empress of the Unexpected) #1136

Eucalyptus and sunset.

(Running from stupidity) #1137

Stop stealing our trees.

(Empress of the Unexpected) #1138

Hehe. We actually aren’t crazy about them because they are a major fire hazard. But the wildlife love them.

(Running from stupidity) #1139

Yeah, they’re basically huge oil bombs.

(Empress of the Unexpected) #1140

Hey what fascinates me about Australia. You guys have a lot of tea trees , right ?

(Running from stupidity) #1141

In parts, yeah.

There’s a suburb in Adelaide called “Tea Tree Gully,” for example.

(Empress of the Unexpected) #1142

I grew up with a tea tree in my front yard in Los Angeles. Goofy pics manana. That was my favorite tree of all time.

(Running from stupidity) #1143

Also, who made you Queen?

#1144

I dubbed her a Legend but that’s a long way from (& a vast improvement on) a queen :face_with_raised_eyebrow:

This is a coin collection thing for the local hospice, which it is right outside. For decades it was there collecting loose change for the hospice, then last summer some moron decided to smash it up to steal the coins people had donated :face_with_symbols_over_mouth: Nice to see it’s almost rebuild now.

This is the map of our walk which was filled with other dogs, walkers, runners, cyclists. One of the runners was too busy looking at his feet to actually see where he was going (in a busy public place) and ran into my Chunk, who was on his lead right by my side, then tried to make out it was my boy’s fault… Chunk didn’t react at all, he’s a good boy see, I may have said a few words… picking on my dog is a guaranteed way to get on my bad side.

And here’s my superstar puppy showing his cultural side -
