What can you say to this
Yuck, liquid diet, caloric restriction to 800-850 calories per day. I think this is the WORST dietary advice that a physician could give their patients. We know keto is an effective way to lose weight and you get to eat real food, and you do not have to calorie restrict. Eating high fat foods will naturally curb your appetite and cause you to eat less.
My skeptical side says this research is probably funded by Slim Fast or some other shake manufacturer looking for a way to sell their crappy products.
I agree, horrible advice. On another note there seems to be some controversy in the ketosphere about whether or not we need to calorie restrict. I’ve been really conflicted about this. How can we eat high fat and not eat high calories?
Imagine that. Doubling down on that which doesn’t work. Not surprised.

The theory is that the drop in insulin causes you to be less hungry, meaning you eat less.
