Sounds like what you might want would be the so-called “skinny pot” plants, rich in a compound called THCV, which suppresses appetite. This article is from a couple of years ago, and there are new strains out now, but it’s a good overview: http://www.thecannabist.co/2015/01/15/skinnygirl-skinny-pot-bethenny-frankel/27564/
I’m a medical cannabis patient for a cancer diagnosis. I never ever smoke it; I use a vaporizer and also the concentrate oils. Vaporizing buds releases the beneficial compounds as vapors, without the harmful effects of combustion from smoking.
Have been reading up on how to get around the “munchies”. I’m also Keto, and also need to LOSE weight, not set off the munchies. So this is of interest to me, too. Some people use CBD only, and it’s not always effective; needs at least a little bit of THC to accelerate the desired results. And if the CBD is higher than the THC, then usually you don’t get a huge “high”. Unfortunately, not legal in all states.
Here are some names of strains I’ve read about for suppressing appetite (my first pick is called Jack the Ripper, which I’m waiting to come in at my friendly neighborhood cannabis store here in Oregon).
Jack the Ripper
Skunk #1 (makes sleepy, good for evenings)
GSC/Girl Scout Cookies
Cherry Pie (also said to be great for pain)
Willie Nelson
Dutch Treat
Pie Face OG
Moby Dick
Red Congolese
XJ-13 (I tried this, but made me sleepy)
These are only suggestions, since it’s variable how each person reacts to a strain. Here’s a great article about that: https://www.allbud.com/learn/story/big-guide-medical-marijuana-strains-what-can-you-e
Overall, if I’m careful which strain I use and what time of day, it’s been helpful to me.
