Well I did it!

Let me tell you what a girl has to do to get diet Mug Root Beer in the state of Georgia. Now you would think that it would be a no-brainer since there is a bulldog on their packaging, after all we are the Georgia Bulldogs. But noooooo. I had several grocery stores try to order it for me and that didn’t work. Our major grocery store, after waiting 3 weeks, told me they were not allowed to sell it although they carry the leaded Root Beer by Mug. Grrrrrrrrr. Walmart didn’t carry it in the store although they carry leaded in their store. Amazon wanted somewhere around $40 for a 24 pack and let me tell you that wasn’t happening. So I got online and ordered six 12 packs from Walmart with free pick up from store. I am now happily sipping a diet Mug Root Beer Float! It’s amazing what a couple tablespoons of HWC in a diet Mug Root Beer will do for you. Cuz a girl’s gotta do what a girl’s gotta do!

I know what ya mean. It’s like beatin yer head against a brick wall. Glad you found a way. It’s a testament to yer southern heritage!

I agree 100% about the HWC in a diet root beer although my root beer of choice has been IBC, not Mug. Similar issues with finding it in diet form, although didn’t have to order online.

I do not know this Mug of which you speak, but I’ll keep my eyes open in future. Maybe I’m missing out.

Thanks Sophie! Lol Yeah, don’t tell a southern girl no.

I haven’t tried IBC. I’ll look for it here. It seems that A&W has the market cornered here but it has Ace K sweetener in it which gives me intestinal distress!
