Weird weight loss pain

So I get really bizarre pains like fat being ripped off my muscles as I lose weight. I know that sounds crazy, but that is the only way I can describe the feeling. It has been really noticeable on Keto, especially in my stomach, back and thighs. Even though the scale is not moving much and inches are coming off. I can see the shift in my body as I start this diet and have had this same pain in the past when I went low carb. I feel crazy when I describe it to my MD and she told me that nothing like that happens and I am just dehydrated…even though I drink 8-10 glasses of water a day and another 2 throughout the night.

I tried a google search about this and did not find anything. Does anyone else have pain like this or have I just lost my mind cutting out all carbs and sugar?

wow. I haven’t heard of this before. It’s not a muscle cramp feeling? (because that’s pretty common…)
Congrats on your inch loss (and good for you for tracking inches! That’s a much more reliable indicator of fat loss than the scale).

But that sensation must be weird and sounds painful. Can you bump this up in a few hours if you don’t get any other responses?

Hi Madeleine, it is not muscle cramps and doesn’t really feel like that. It is weird to describe. It almost feels like tearing inside my stomach and legs. It seems to happen randomly throughout the day and night. My MD looked at me like I was nuts, but I have upped my water intake even more today along with my supplements. Hopefully that will help. More motivation to never have to lose weight again once I hit my goal weight!
