Weight Loss

I haven’t weighted myself officially as of yet, however, I know I have lost at least 10 lbs. Coworkers are noticing and the compliments HELP SO MUCH. I let myself cheat once in a while other wise I would go insane. I find myself craving more of the good stuff. Like right now I could go for steamed broccoli so bad!!! I always liked it, but even more so now. What is the difference with Adkins diet and Keto? It seems that I like KETO so much better.

Nothing wrong with broccoli but don’t steam it. Slather it in butter, olive oil or lard and roast it.

If you keep your carbs low enough and maintain a state of ketosis, not much difference. From what I understand, Atkins has stages and each stage allows you to eat more and more carbs so you will reach a point where you are no longer in ketosis.

I believe Atkins allows for a wider variety of food; even fruit if it fits your carb budget. I don’t believe there are protein restrictions on Atkins while doing keto it’s suggested to eat “moderate” protein. How much protein is too much is the subject of great debate among keto scholars.

I would consider myself Keto as I eat mostly protein fat, very low carb. I would consider my dad more Atkins as he eats mostly protein veggies and some fruits and fats. Lower carb but not as low as me! There’s stages to Atkins based on losing weight and maintaining.

Atkins is high protein, moderate fat
Keto is high fat, moderate protein

Both are no or low carb
