Weight loss stall but inches are disappearing!

#1

So, I was standing in the kitchen just now, washing dishes- and as I started to move, discovered that my jeans were halfway down my hips! I hadn’t lost any more weight over the last 2 weeks, but after I whipped out the tape measure…I found that I’ve lost 4 inches on my hips, and 2" on my waist!!!

I love Keto.

Wow, amazing! Are you working out?

Great!!! I haven’t lost anything. I don’t have scale but when I was at the doctors on Monday, I hadn’t lost anything but I’m in a dress that I purchased last month that I didn’t wear because it was a little too clingy and I needed a spanks to “smooth out the wrinkles” but today I have it on, no spanks and it looks mighty nice!

Awesome!!! I needed this inspiration this morning as my clothes are fitting better but I haven’t cut on the scale as I had hoped. I think these off scale victories that you experienced are the ones that stick with us. Keep it up!

That’s body recomposition for you! Congrats

Right!?!?!?!!!

Thanks.

I wouldn’t really call it a “workout”, but I do full, half, side and raised leg planks for 5 minutes total- a few times a week. I also work part time which involves walking a fair amount.

My knee pain issues resolved pretty early on in the Keto journey, so I can move about freely and not hurt at all- which makes work a whole lot easier and pleasant.

YAY for you!!! I had that happen last week, too. I bought a dress on clearance when our Penney’s was closing. It didn’t fit, then it was too tight, and now…no spanx…and it was loose! I could not believe it. I might try another dress this coming Sunday…we shall see!!!

IMO losing inches is way better then what the scale says, it’s great to feel thinner. So congrats!

It’s interesting you talked about resolution to knee pain. I have shared a similar experience about 4 weeks into keto I noticed my chronic knee pain was just not there anymore.

I think a lot of the foods we ate pre- Keto were inflammatory. I’m allergic to corn, yet its in damn near everything non-Keto. I know that had to have been part of it. Wheat, gluten, etc. may also fall into that category, but I don’t know for sure.

Losing 15 pounds helped. But I think the composition of foods has been the primary factor, because the knee pain started to go pretty early on my Keto journey…before I’d lost that much weight. I still have a good 50-70 pounds to lose, so I can’t imagine how great I’ll feel when I get there…but this was a fabulous start!

I think so too.

Are you working out? I have always heard that muscle weighs more than fat. Congrats!

WOW!!! Stupid scales!

No, I wouldn’t say its working out…just a few planks 2-3 times a week. But, I do work part-time in retail which is a bit of walking. And, I own a couple businesses also. So…I’m active. I just don’t go to a gym, go running, or anything like that.
