I was fortunate enough to be able to attend KetoFest for Science Sunday. A friend and fellow Ketoer who did not attend asked how it was. I was honest - it was fantastic. She recently got bad news from her doctor regarding her A1c and because her mom died at a young age from a heart attack, she is now in a panic. We vowed to keep each other on the Keto path - watch out for each other, keep each other honest. We talked about Ketofest and how she didn’t go (even though she only lives an hour away) because she didn’t want to part with the money (we auditors are notorious tightwads). In talking, we decided that WE ARE WORTH IT! Neither of us would hesitate to drop 100, 200 even a 1000 dollars for the benefit of our children’s health. We would not hesitate to drive an hour, two hours, three hours each way to spend a day learning how to make our children’s health better. So why do we not think OUR health is worth the time and money? Please don’t get me wrong…I am just talking about my friend and I - I know everyone has their own situation and their own limitations and I am not I am not sitting in judgment of anyone but myself and my friend (with her permission of course!). And, of course being auditors, we had to think about the long term monetary impact - investing a little in our health today will give us great time-saving and money-saving benefits in the long run. An ounce of prevention??
Now that I have rambled, I would just like to say that I truly appreciate this community and how helpful and supportive everyone is. Ketofest was amazing - the support and lack of judgment was inspiring. My friend and I will be one of the first to sign up for Ketofest 2018 - so @carl, when does the next Kickstarter fire up? LOL

That’s right. Life is worth living and we need to remember we are the only ones responsible for taking care of our bodies. No one else will do that for us.
