So lately I’ve been drinking half of my body weight and water and it’s really helping me along with my fasting. But I think I’m going to revise My fasting. How much water are you guys drinking daily? Audrey on the average about 120 oz of water
Water ❤
I can’t measure it without huge efforts (I always forget and it doesn’t matter much, I am always well hydrated) so I almost never did but it must be around 3 liters (that’s 101 oz), sometimes more. Without exercise and hot weather. My salt intake doesn’t seem to matter and I don’t sweat much even if I exercise. For some reason (well, lack of thirst, clearly) I barely drink until mid-afternoon but drink a lot later, between 3pm and 3am. My SO is the one who is at 2 liters before noon sometimes But he wakes up way earlier too.
Karla, if it helps you go for it. It sounds like you’re just keeping your stomach full of water and one of the consequences is you don’t feel as hungry. Just don’t stray far from the latrine and you’ll probably be OK.
Have you heard about dry fasting? I believe that the body can produce water from fat cells. Have be trying it out in the gym. Two hours of aerobic exercise and no water then 20 min sauna no water. Not for everyone but worked for me. 1 day of dry fasting is said to equal 3 days of regular fasting.
Water and salt go together - and it’s also important to avoid the overwatering stress - water intoxication - that can happen when there’s not enough salt and one is chugging for the sake of chugging regardless of thirst etc. The nice thing is that electrolytic support from sea salt, lemon juice, etc is tasty!
Deep hydration on the cellular level requires a good amount of salt/electrolytes, and they’re permissable & esp recommended during fasting because the body is so electric!
