Water with Acid

#1

I have been reading all across the forums and the inter webs for information on Water with Acid. The three candidates are Lemons (metered for me)and Limes (generic for me) as there are a varieties each, and raw unfiltered Apple Cider Vinegar to which I prefer Braggs.

The biggest effect is ACP especially at night for the reduction in the Dawn Phenomenon and the help in reducing NFALD. This is the easy one and makes sense on reading how if works. The Citrus is muddled as to its benefits beyond the acidification to you body just like APC, yet you get some glucose to the wedge of half you would use. Also there is the limonens from the peel that is supposed to have beneficial properties if you can burst them out in hot water and drink.

Looking for some insight to evaluate what to use, shen and why. Thanks for the feedback!

I actually put all three in my water before meals (or at least twice a day if I’m doing OMAD).

1 T of Bragg’s ACV, 1 tsp of lemon juice, 1 tsp of lime juice (I buy the bottles). Yes, fresh is healthier, but that’s just a PITA. - along with a big ice cube and 500ml of water.

The juices add a wee bit more acid, make it taste better and give you a little vitamin C (and per the nutritional label - that little amount is 0 carbs).

My “treat” drink is the same amount of the juices in 500ml of club soda (just carbonated water).
