Water retention no matter what I do... bloated all over

I’ve been leaning more towards flakes of sea salt recently…I kinda feel like I might go back to my pink salt now! Hadn’t even thought about the state of the oceans! :fearful:

If you are a salt waster normally, then low carb would make you way low in sodium. As other have alreasy written, the upper limit is hard to reach on keto/low carb. As long as you drink enough water (add some salt to it if you feel like it), any excess sodium will be flushed out of your system rather quickly. And your food will be inpalatably salty before intake becomes higher than your body can handle. Actually, the body seems to have a limiting function that makes food taste way too salty when about to get too much saly, and odd cravings (as well as headaches and water retention) when it gets too little.

If you want a high carb day, you should make it more like a fruits after workout day. Fruit is healthy when eaten whole (and not the sweetest variety). Whole grains are good too, and oats are much better than wheat will ever be. You really only need the carbs just after working out, and at that time, the glucose will barely get a chance to rise before the muscles clean it all out of your bloodstream.

I know 100% that drinking pink salt water regrew my hair thicker. So any grumpy opinionated article can say whatever it wants. I know factually it was beneficial to me. The taste is all the same but I know what it did for me.

Are you on the pill? I never realized that the pill kept my love handles around until I went off the pill and they disappeared.
