Hi to all great podcast And forum you guys have love them. I have been Keto 14 months now lost 57 lbs and feel great but the last two months my sugar levels shot back up from 100 to 125/ 165. I have bulletproof coffee very morning with butter and mct oil with heavy cream 2 cups 2 tsp of cinnamon. That’ gets me going until 6:30/700 pm I eat Broccoli or cauliflower with lots of butter and cheddar cheese. I may snack on avocado, sardines, celery with cream cheese during the afternoon. I have not had any sugar this whole time. I take all the normal vitamins as the diet prescribes. Starting to thing I need more fat in my diet. My A1C was at 7 from a 8.5 six months ago. Going for another test at the end of the week want to get my blood particle size checked this time around. Back using Victoza and medformin for the last six weeks hoping for better results. Also never been able to use salts very sensitive to them Use Himalayan pink salt Any help would be appreciated

Can you clarify what the problem(s) you need help with is(are)? Did I understand you correctly that this is what you ask help with:

  1. how to increase fat in your meals/snacks?
  2. how to increase salt or electrolytes?

Anything else I missed?

I don’t see much mention of protein or fats for that matter.

I do eat grass fed beef just cut back not much chicken, but under 100 grams a day. I am just concerned about my diabetes all of the sudden acting up after it seemed to be under control. I did cut back my fat intake absolutely no sugars

Ok after doing some research on the forum i found out Glucosamine is Amino Sugar and can Spike levels in the blood. I started taking them 3 weeks ago 2 pills a day use them for my Dog having some joint pain myself I decided to try them. We have to watch everything we take. I am very sensitive to sugar.

Sounds like you need to do some serious tracking for a few weeks. Something glycogenic out insulinogenic must be getting into your diet. There’s no way to tell from your description how much of each macronutrient you’re getting.

There are no vitamins or supplements “prescribed” by a ketogenic diet. It’s a matter of remedying individual deficiencies. Some supplements are highly insulinogenic. Are you taking any protein supplements?
