Wanting to start Keto, had Gastric bypass 3 years ago

(Susan Chambers) #1

Hi all,
I’d appreciate any advice from any other members who have had bariatric surgery, in particular Gastric Bypass. My weight has stalled last 8 months and have been reading up on Keto but don’t know how I’ll manage, as I have trouble now eating/digesting red meat. Would appreciate hearing from other WLS people as to what you eat / how much etc to get into ketosis.
Thanks so much.
Sue

Welcome, Sue!
In addition to the WLS podcast that @turbeville mentioned , you can check out several threads on here with lots of great posts from forum folks who have had surgery (who will likely stop by this thread as well).
I think searches for “WLS” and “bypass” will probably get you started.

Welcome

I haven’t had surgery myself, but several here do. There are a whole section of this forum dedicated to discussing issues around keto/WLS here:
