Hello guys. I am new on the forum. I open an account to see if my experience with the weight loss has been under the yoke of the same general path. I experimented with ketogenic diet ever before but this year, since my attitude has been more solid i have seen great results. I am a male of 32, my original weight was 144 pounds. All my life i been very active, and the weight started to add up after my perpetual craving for sweets and selective carbs based foods.I was still working out, even though I could see the indirect transformation on my energy level and clothes. I decided to do a drastic change and go back to my former persona. All my life i been around 185 to 175. The last year was the year that i gained almost 60 pounds. I started the diet in March the last 15th of this year. I have also combined the 24 hours, intermediate fasting. Omd or the warrior diet.Basically i eat after 24-26 hours every other day the strick keto plethora of foods. Good quality Mediterranean cheese, blu cheese, uncured pancheta, dry salami, prosciutto, lamb chopes,Brazilian nuts and organic bison meat when i can.I also eat every day an inclusive full peasant salad which is known in USA as a Greek or Italian salad,Russian salad etc I use Illy expresso, lavaza black,no sugar.Sometimes i drink a red bull zero.It hasnt affected by increasing my sugar craving.I eat daily black olives, avocado, spicy pickle, full tomato every day, two bites of red pepper.Today i weighted myself for the first time since starting the change.I have weight 211pounds. I have lost 33 pound for 1 month and some days.I feel very motivated and surprise with the results. I will continue to mix keto and OMD until i reach my goal. After that point i will find a healthy compromise not to gain weight again.I may use some keto bombs and alternate sweets to satisfy my sweet tooth.Thank you guys.I wish you great luck on your healthy path.
Very surprised with my weight loss
Congrats! I lost about that much my first month. Now I’ve been doing it almost 6 months and lost 93 pounds.
It is not common but it happens. Someone lost 40lbs in the first 2 weeks and then nothing for 6 months. Everyone’s different but you are young and haven’t been obese for too long so it makes sense that you could bounce back relatively quickly.
For the future, when you hit a healthy weight (not necessarily what your brain wants), you can probably raise your carb level without leaving ketosis and maintain the benefits without so many restrictions. OMAD is good for maintenance. If you stall before you hit target, you might want to change from OMAD to shake your body up. You can return to it later.
Congratulations and best of luck with your keto journey.
