Very important Question?

That sounds like a great idea. Thank you!

I’m very appreciative of all this advice. After reading all the replies I feel confident I can do this trip without having to add any extra carbs. Some sea salt on Jolly Rancher should do the trick if I feel I’m running out of fuel. Thanks again for all your help.

I hiked up two mountains this morning (granted it only totaled about 3 miles). But I had no energy loss and it was during my IF period. My carb intake has been well under 25g for the entire 2+
months I’ve been on keto. The energy it has given allows me to do about 4-5+ hikes a week. If you knew how I was prior to May, you’d be astonished at that sentence.

If your body is fat adapted then absolutely no need for carbs on your walk.

Carry good fat like pecans, lots of fat with little weight.

I find that my fat adapted body requires far less calories as compared to a carb based diet, simply less waist - which is also good for your walk.
