I’ve had several customers, through the years ask if I am Vegan, I say “Nope, I’m a meat eater…but can we still be friends?”
Vegan Day!?!?
It was just a fun thing to say from my part, I never wanted to mean eating only steak wouldn’t be decent
But people always talk about “balanced diets”, it’s mildly annoying to me know that I know we don’t need multiple food groups to get everything we need… Though honestly it’s hard to figure out what balanced mean. Mine is always balanced, it has fat, it has protein, it has various nutrients… But people probably think about something more common…
I like that idea especially with tiny steaks, not the 30oz ones.
I learned from the carnivores here, first of all @Fangs that meat is a perfect side dish for a meat main dish… It was a revolutionary, unusual idea for me at that point but she was right (it’s not for everyone, of course but it was usually in the carnivore thread). I typically pair my meat with eggs for reasons but meat with a different type of meat works well too. But it’s okay alone as well. Each to their own.
Oh, they are a Health & Wellness store! I’m not familiar with the name. I work for a family owned (49 years!) health food store in the Midwest of The USA.
When we eat at a local steakhouse we ask them not to bring the rolls, but would like the butter. One waitress asked what the butter was for and my husband said he dipped his fried okra in it!
She looked puzzled, then grinned and said she was going to try that! It helps if the okra is hot when it comes out.
Great little eating spot in Key West, Rams Head. Ordered Steak and Eggs and the waitress asks "What meat would you like with that? Bacon of course!
What, no sausage as well?
Welcome to the forums!

And that’s where we’re different! I’d be in the lunch room with a Tomahawk Ribeye and a bib, and a side of bacon of course.
