Vacuum sealer for clumsy Australian

#1

I now obviously need to get a vacuum sealer (for freezing all the meat and fish I am eating).
I get to the fish market only once a month, so it has become clear this would improve the variety in my diet. I have a dietician and she instructed me to buy one and use it to stock my freezer… but didn’t suggest which one.

I am in Australia, so need something locally available and I am a clutz, so easy to use is better for me!

Thanks to anyone who can recommend. :grinning:

I realize it’s probably something most people know but I have never even seen one.

I just use ziploc bags squeezing the air out… you don’t need a vac maching to freeze stuff although I guess it would free up more room for more meat and fish. I like the sound of your dietician though… a real keeper.

Thanks guys.
I was hoping someone may use one on the list and think it’s great.
But there are a lot of votes for that Geryon! :grinning:

I’d assume you guys have Food Savers over there? Mine is one of the most used appliances we have next to the Foodi Pressure Cooker/Air Fryer. Never leaves the counter. I’m sure all the others are the same but you can buy vacuum bags in much larger quantities from non OEM companies. To be honest I’ve yet to find ones that are as good as the factory ones (sucks for my wallet) but many people claim good luck with them.

Partial Thread Hijack for both me and the OP: If you use non Food Saver bags and they work just as good as the real ones, please link them for everybody. I can’t find ones that don’t constantly fail to seal. I tried so no-name ones off Amazon and the ones Cabelas makes.

I use the Russell Hobbs RHVS1 - easy as. I got mine using frequent flyer points but I believe it’s a reasonable price.

Thank you! :grinning:
Well done getting something for frequent flyer points.
