US Keto Grocery Stores

(Jeff) #1

I’m a Canadian living on the US Border near Washington state. I’m wondering what grocery stores best serve Keto products. Any chains with a heavy Keto focus? Thanks in advance.

Trader Joe’s is always a good one.

I’m not on that side of the country, but pretty much all the grocery chains have adopted keto at this point, typically in the form of better pork rind selections, MCT Oils, and of course the gimmicky stuff. Shouldn’t be a difference out there in the west. Any mainstream supermarket should have basically everything at this point. Seeing the prices you guys pay for stuff up there I don’t know how you live! Luckily you’re on the border. How big of a truck can you come across with and not arouse suspicion? :grinning:

The best “keto” products don’t say keto on them: eggs, meat, butter etc. Shop the perimeter of the store and avoid the inner aisles.

I am with you Carl. The only exception I can think of is pork rinds. I picked some up this week and noticed they were 99 cents. I thought back to a time when I would sit down with a bag of chips and dip, that stuff was expensive. Also on the store perimeter is wine, just saying.

I find several of my Keto staples at Aldi’s. Not sure if they are over there. Almond flour, almond milk, avocados, full fat Greek yogurt, organic celery, broccoli, cauliflower, cherry tomatoes, salad stuff, avocado oil, olive oil, and the prices are lower than other grocery stores.

What CarlKeller said. If there is a Costco, near by there are whole threads on here about their keto friendly stuff.
