Haha the big bass was 8.9 lbs… I think the small one was only like 4 something ?? Lol

#22

Looks like you’re fishing in a smaller pond or private lake from the banks. 8.9 is a HAWG!

Truly inspiring. Can you tell us how fasting played a part in this wonderful transition?

#24

Awesome…you look great!

(Daisy) #25

No, he’s not exaggerating. You legit look like high school! You’re adorable!!!

(Chelsea Barnett) #26

Yeah it’s a small pond walking distance from the house. And that’s the biggest fish I’ve caught. My grandpa was more impressed than me. I didn’t know that 8.9 was big for a bass :joy:

I do Intermittent fasting. 18/6. I try to go longer than 18 on most days. I was actually fasting wrong until a week ago. I was just doing a food fast and would drink calories and use mct oil and almond milk and sugar free energy drinks during my fasting windows. But just a week ago I learned that isn’t the right way to fast and I learned why it isn’t (insulin spiking) so now I drink black coffee and water only during fasts.

The good news is the fasting worked for you anyway as the pictures show. Now that you are improving fasting maybe that will help you as you approach goal.

(Chelsea Barnett) #29

Yes. It worked but ever since I started doing it correctly I have noticed my ketones are higher and the scale went down anither 4 lbs in one week. I had starting losing slow again. So it sped things up

Beautiful and amazing transformation!

I love the fish pics, too. My Dad loved to fish and my Mom worked a lot on weekends (real estate) so we went fishing a lot. I swear half the pictures of me as a kid are me holding up a stringer of fish!!

Sweet memories. I grew up fishing too when I was little. Then as my dad got older he stopped taking us lol we still go cstfishing every once in a while together but since I’ve had kids we rarely go. It is so fun when I do get a chance to go. But I don’t do it a lot with 1 year old twins running around. My anxiety gets bad with them around water lol

Wow is all I have to say! I had to zoom in on that first picture to make sure it was really you and not a photo from high school. I am not kidding. It is amazing that you have the will power and believed that this would work. I know so many people who can’t even take the first step in battling weight loss. I am wondering what it took to motivate you to get started? And keep up with it? I have been motivated by some health issues that have completely cleared up since starting keto. It was a life-threatening autoimmune disease that has dissolved. I am wondering how other people get their motivation and continue it so that I can share with others. Also curious what you do eat? meat or plant based?

Congratulations! You look so happy and healthy!

Thank you for posting your results. I’m still working on my transformation, and I have to admit that seeing others’ results is a big motivation to keep going.

Your post really hit me for another reason—I am trying to wrap my mind around the idea that someone can truly go from 2x to Small. I started at 3x, and I keep telling myself that I can only hope to get to XL. For me, that is going from severely obese to “just” overweight (and losing 100 lbs). Your post is allowing me to re-examine my goals and re-think what might be possible. Thank you for the spark to do some internal reflection. The mental part of losing weight (body dysmorphia) is such a surprise.

Again, congratulations on your internal and external transformations!

Man, I sure hope so! I’m harder on myself now than before I started Keto.
