Unplugged from The Matrix?

Is it just me, but since starting Keto, do you feel like you’ve been unplugged from “The Matrix”, that the fog of sugar has been lifted to reveal a world around you that only seems to persist to keep you from losing weight?

I can just imagine agents with candy bars and donuts coming to plug me back in again.

When simply removing carbohydrates from your diet results in upwards of 30lbs of weight loss in the first month+all the other improvements associated, you begin to see the truth.

I like to imagine what would happen to the US, if everyone abstained from sugar for a month

I’m pretty sure the corporations would institute martial law and the only emergency supplies would be Coca-Cola and Twinkies, making sure everyone gets back with the program

That’s an interesting thought. While we have all of these campaigns to raise awareness about various diseases, which are great in their own way, but shouldn’t we also have more campaigns to raise awareness about carb addiction?

I watched “Why are we Fat?” last night and it really hit home seeing people in hospital with their limbs amputated, a fact I was blissfully unaware of until recently. Even though I’ve been on a collision course for T2D for years my GP has neglected to reveal this highly motivating fact! I mad as hell that they were economical with the truth about my condition. I had been on a low-fat (high carb) diet for 4 years as a result, with a net result of zero improvement, probably even worse. I’ve achieved more in 3 months on Keto than I ever did in that 4 year period.

My point is that seeing amputated limbs is one way that would definitely raise awareness of the damage that too much sugar can do and provide the motivation for abstinence. It did for me anyway.

The economy would collapse rapidly. Stop and think about the food industry and the healthcare system. Hospitals would shut down as their profit centers dry up. It would be freaking awesome! Is that sarcasm…???

This is something I have thought of a lot. I don’t think people will change easily, it will be a slow but steady transition. We are just on the cutting edge. Look around you, not that many people are really waking up yet. Likely going to take a government shutdown or reset for people to wake up and smell the BP coffee.
