Unfortunately, not related to the Greek word for sea monster

Turns out the word “ketone” is from the German word for acetone.

And Keton and Aceton are derived from the Latin acetum, ‘vinegar’.

That is sad. My life is lacking sea monsters.

“Diet” seems to be a four letter word in western society, but it just means daily routine. No monsters there either. Not funny like yours, but it’s been bothering me a while  cause that’s the kind of nerd I am.

I will take one order of sea monster to go with melted butter to dip it!

Joking aside that story cited is NOT a “Myth,” Phorcys and Fair Ceto Palemon and Ino Religious Anniversaries Relic of Antiquity was one of those 200 Angels told in the book of Enoch. Titans, their descendants were Kœus, Krœus, Phorcys, Kronos etc…

From Psalm 104:

26 Yonder is the great and wide sea
with its living things too many to number, *
creatures both small and great.

27 There move the ships,
and there is that Leviathan, *
which you have made for the sport of it.

(from The Book of Common Prayer, 1979)

All this high-falutin’ stuff being bandied about… Heck, I just thought that Keto drove the Green Lantern around was a badass when it came to martial arts.
