UK Ketonians - Good offer on Instant Pot on Amazon today
Received one of these as an xmas gift, wasn’t interested at all, unitil I realized this is the BEST and EASIEST way to make boiled eggs, the shell just slides off of them when peeling, they are worth having for that alone. We “boil” 18 or so (depends on size) every week or so and eat through them as snacks/appetizers etc.
You can even play with the timing and make the eggs a little harder or a little softer, depending on how you like them, good stuff!
I only clicked on this because I figured someone had come up with a recipe for “instant marijuana”. I apologize for my confusion…
Enjoy!
I find that adding a little vinegar to the 1 cup of water used in the cooking process and allowing for “natural escape of the pressure” followed by an ice bath (for really any duration of time, longer = better?) makes the whole process really simple. the cooking only takes 6 minutes, the rest of the process, maybe 30 minutes, because we do it while cooking other things/preparing for the upcoming week of meals.
And cheers to you as well!
Similar deal in the US. And yes, it’s for Prime Day, so you have to be a Prime member (not sure whether signing up for a trial account counts):

If I didn’t already have the 6qt InstantPot, I’d be all over this.
It turned up today and I’ve already cooked a whole chicken in 25 minutes and then made broth from the bones. What a great bit of kit.
Anyone else have any favourite uses?
Just had my first proper play with this. I over-bought broccoli (never would have happened before keto!)
So I googled keto instant pot broccoli recipes and came up with this:
I used bell peppers instead of carrots and put in a few spices, and Wow it was delicious.
I’ll have to give that a try Ben, looks good. I just made hard boiled eggs in mine - a cup of water, eggs, six minutes on high pressure. Job done
I had a go with a whole chicken yesterday, and bone broth afterwards. And it’s the first time I’ve found bone broth drinkable.
