Uk keto

(steven) #1

Hi guys back on this again trying, last year never went to plan, too many things going on could not commit.

I want to know the peeps from the UK where do you buy all your oils, meats etc.

Thanks

I used to buy my MCT oil from Amazon but don’t use it so much these days. I mostly get my supplies from normal shops, meat, butter, cream etc.

A friend uses the mail order company Athleat to buy his meat, and says it’s a good service.

When I have bought MCT it’s been Amazon but not for ages. Meat I buy wherever I happen to be at the time, no fuss here :joy: sometimes local butcher, sometimes Asda, Morrison’s meat is generally really good. Not a fan of Tesco meat. Also Aldi / Lidl - Costco too.

Hi Allie
How long have you been doing Keto and have you had good results?

Thanks

(Allie) #5

Nearly three years and still going strong, no intention of changing things.

Normal supermarkets to get the food, I don’t bother with the special oils .

Same here, just real food. I do use Erythritol occasionally, which I get from Amazon

(Hoteski) #10

I do use ashwaganda drops and maca powder and get it from ether Amazon or independent health food stores as Holland and Barrett doesn’t stock it.

Supermarkets, butcher. Don’t use oils goose fat or butter for cooking. Only supp is magnesium citrate from amazon.

https://www.themeatman.co.uk does some amazing ribeye steaks, if you buy in bulk its quite affordable but the packaging is not very environmentally friendly.

I use all major suppermarkets for other food. I find ASDA tend to remove a lot of fat from their pork belly & steaks etc so usually buy that from Tesco.

I’m an avocado snob so tend to go to M&S for them as I don’t mind paying a bit more for less bruising etc but occasionally ASDA and Tesco have some good quality.

Any exotic type things like flavourless coconut oil or almond flour etc I get from Amazon.
