UK Doctors are Changing

My doctor (GP, Family Dr) is leaving the NHS … or should I say forced to, she has ideas at odds with mainstrem medicine!
I found her initially because I heard a rumour she was recommending the Keto diet and since meeting me is asking some patients to try carnivore. I can’t claim all the credit but perhaps I add weight?
In a recent mail to me she also describes some more specialities including Long covid, Vaccine injuries and MCAS (Mast Cell Activation).
Interesting stuff! and proof we are winning

When you put info in front of a doc (the correct way) you have an effect!

Same is happening here in the US, once docs take the red pill (usually by accident) the seed has be planted! There’s no going back. Then they wind up leaving “the system” and going to private practices where they don’t have to worry about having their careers destroyed from SAYING the wrong thing like I dunno…Vaccine INJURY! Which is hilarious, because there’s literally a CDC system specifically made to track those, so CLEARLY it’s not something they dispute. But don’t say it though!

Always made me laugh with the whole “Functional Medicine” MD’s. Which I had an awesome one, but when I started with her practice (which she sadly sold) she was explaining it all to me, which I knew and why I was there in the first place, and I went, so basically what a DO does?

She knew I was busting them, but I think there’s going to be a new term for all these docs unplugging from the insanity and actually doing their job. I just hope more, and more people start seeing them so the demand increases and hopefully the cost of private docs decreases. I’m all for voting with my wallet, and clearly you get what you pay for, but my wallet is only so deep!

This is a shame in this case … she can see the failings with the system but NHS is a big and slow to change machine. She has to leave because I assume she’s not free to practice as she’d like.
I’m hoping there’s more out there like her.

It’s especially painful when you’re also paying for a policy. $600 / $445 follow up for a private consult vs. $35 mainstream copay cuz I also paid the insurance premium. Ouch.

The Hippocratic Oath "First do no harm" leaves some wiggle room for interpretation…
no harm to whom?

Blimey … there can’t be many sticking to that principle. 98% would get struck off :joy:

YIKES! OK, you win, if that’s the word. That’s pricey for sure. Sucks it has to come to that to get good medical care.

I’m a very hard core anti-vaxxer + RFK Jr supporter. I’m here in MA in the USA. I do know and talk to doctors and have a number of them in my family. My general feeling is the ignorance about everything except prescribing pharmaceuticals is still off the charts here.

I was just talking to a few last week and mentioned that I never got the Covid shot (I did not bring it up, I never do). Two of them looked at me in complete shock and said “How did you survive? What did you do?”. They still have no idea that the Covid shot had nothing to do with Covid.

So maybe some are waking up, but I think not very many.

I think a functional medicine doctor is a person who does for us what we were supposed to do for ourselves, but somehow failed to do. If we’re informed which we can easily do by learning from people like Dr. Mark Hyman and others, then there is little a functional medicine doctor would do for us that we haven’t already taken care of ourselves.

I won’t dwell on this because is it a banned subject? (before my time here) but I’ve heard young people on dating sites are looking for unvaccinated partners, I assume with offspring in mind!

I got all the covid shots. Last year, I got covid in one arm and the flu in the other. This year, got the shingles vaccine.

My daughter is not vaccinated (except for covid), has OCD, autism, depression, POTS, and too many other things to mention. And she had most of those BEFORE the covid shots.

I am no longer anti-vax.

Oh, Covid shots are still a thing? (Well, flu shots are too so maybe that’s why.)
I pretty much forgot about the existence of Covid, it was years ago when people did things about it… I got my shots years ago (all that was advised for non-vulnerable people. so 2 except one was double. the Sputnik I think…?), just to protect the vulnerable ones, I was pretty sure about myself as usual. And barely met other people.
I have just learned yesterday that there is a shingles vaccine (and that shingles is very painful). I hope and even trust I won’t get shingles but we will see. I got chickenpox at 17 (felt great).
I don’t ever get flu shots as I have a wonderful immune system and like to avoid doctors anyway (and never had flu as far as I know). So I get the mandatory or highly recommended vaccines and that’s enough for me.

Nor me Bob … though I would wish the whole thing never happened, then we’d have no need to commit either way.

YUP! I’not an anti-vaxxer, but haven’t had any in years, not even because of COVID, just mainly because I started paying attention to all the garbage they put in them, plus, I’m one of the “minority” that feel like DEATH for days after flu shots. Clearly never got a COVID vaccine, had it 3x, got over it WAY faster than anybody I know that was.

Also from MA, never would have though I’d be on the same side as any Kennedy, but RFK Jr is awesome! The worst part, every single thing he said people 100% supported… until he worked for a Trump administration, which is sad. People would rather cry about politics rather than care about their health. Health isn’t a political thing, ya, politics can influence it, but he’s literally trying to ban things that are already banned for many years in other countries, and for a reason!
