Tried bison liver

I didn’t like it. I ate it with some bison fat, still didn’t like it. It almost seemed like it would have been less strong raw strangely. I really need the b12 without the mercury. I don’t like to take supplements. I don’t absorb b12 well and I need at least 10mg per day or it starts dropping It seems. Will I get used to the liver? Just a half ounce of bison liver should be enough. Have you ever had to eat something for your health even if you didn’t like it?

Does it have to be bison liver specifically? I tried beef liver and calf liver. Didn’t like the beef liver, but the calf liver was quite nice, much milder than beef. It’s important to keep an eye on internal temperature as well, overcooking liver can make it taste bad from what I heard. I use a cheap food thermometer I got from Ikea.

I am a hedonist and I just never do that unlike so many people.
But if it’s not awful just not nice and the amount is tiny, I could do it. Half an ounce is so nothing, you just swallow it and eat something nice to forget the taste! (I still would try to avoid it but it depends how bad it is and how badly I need the nutrient. Maybe it would be the least bad option.)

There is some possibility that it was a worse bison liver. I tried the liver of some animals multiple times (never bison) and it wasn’t always the same! Sometimes the cooking method changed it for the better. And yes, I suppose raw, frozen and similar things may be different, I just wouldn’t even think about it myself, I like my liver thoroughly cooked, thank you (except beef so maybe ruminant liver is better lightly cooked. I only tried beef this far).

Half an ounce is minuscule. I would drown it in sour cream or cream or mix with meat, it did good to too strong tasting liver I kind of disliked. (I bought the liver as I like liver but some packages were just not as good as usual or I got bored after some amount or my tastebuds were choosy that day…)

Bison liver and gelatin made from cow. Basically carnivore.

I don’t like to take supplements. I’m going to try the liver again tonight. My mom is making a chicken thigh and drumstick so I may stick it in the drippings and pretend it’s a chicken liver. Chicken liver is more palatable but has a lot less b12. Bison liver is what I’ve got and I feel the need to not waste it.

Maybe try soaking it in buttermilk overnight. I do this with all my liver. I love bison liver but I don’t eat it raw.

I googled a tiny bit, it seems chicken liver still has plenty of B12… Can’t you eat that but in a bit bigger quantities?
