Traveling to Germany for a walking holiday

I’ve been fat adapted for a while, but travelling is still a concern. I am gluten free at home, but when travelling I do indulge without issue (I tend to have problems when just eating out in the UK even when I avoid gluten!).
I will be on a walking trip in Germany for 7 days, on a half board basis, so I won’t have full control of my food. Any suggestions as the meals tend to be carb heavy.
Also, I’m keto for health (migraines, acne, digestive issues) rather than fat loss.
Thank you

Well, Germans love to eat savory for breakfast, so you should always be able to get salami, cheese, ham, egg, butter etc at that time of day and just say no thanks to the accompanying bread.

Can‘t say I didn’t have a taste of the German bread when we went but it was not hard at all to eat Keto (or at least low carb).

I spent 2 weeks in Germany and Austria 2 years ago and was keto for the whole time without issue. Lots of fatty meats to choose from as noted, starting from breakfast and on. In fact one of my kids and partner were living in Germany at the time and they met us at the airport and brought us breakfast which was an assortment of white sausages and beer! What a way to live!! Enjoy your trip!!!

Editing to warn you to stay away from the giant pretzels that are sold everywhere (Bavaria). I am told they are not as good as they look!!
