Travel-Friendly Snacks

fasting

Hi everyone , I am planning a short trip soon and was thinking about easy keto snacks to carry. What’s your number one travel friendly keto snack?
I usually pack beef jerky, but I am looking for new ideas. Share your opinion.
Advance thanks

Well, since you posted in the fasting section… water with electrolytes is nice, lol.

Kidding aside, mode of travel matters. I have used pepperoni, jerky or beef bars, but almost all brands have switched to celery in place of nitrates, which makes me itch.

If not flying, we pack a cooler with hard boiled eggs, sliced steak, chicken legs. Maybe cheese. Canned fish.

If flying, chicken skin chips, macadamia nuts, have done pork rinds.

Lately I just keep tallow blocks in a zip-lock bag. I only eat OMAD, though, so sometimes it’s just easier to fast through until I have food. I pack food for my carb-burner travel companions. They laugh at me now when I do a “carb-burner hangry check”.

Trying to be OMAD helps. I will typically get a large cup of coffee from somewhere in the morning and add some protein powder to it. Then I will not eat until dinner time. If I am driving I can get to a grocery store and get myself almost anything I need, cheese, cold cuts and so on, or eat carefully in a restaurant. Getting away from the whole idea of snacking at all, as Bean hinted, makes life much easier.
