Hi there, be doing keto 3 weeks, I have found hiit training has significantly dropped when would that come back and improve ? Interested to hear people’s stories.

It can take a while and there are so many variables that it’s hard to say how long for each person. Were you lowish-carb before? (probably will be quicker in that case)
Ideally your body is great not just at using fat for fuel but also at switching between fat and glucose (well, glycogen in the muscles and liver). Getting all of that up and running and working seamlessly can take weeks to months, though I think the longer ones are more for pro athletes (just because their performance standards are so high).

You have to become fat adapted before working out will fell like normal again. Remember, in keto you’re trying to convert your fuel source to fat instead of glucose (carbs). Took me 8 weeks. I knew it happened when I was just sitting in the office and wanted to go outside and run all of a sudden.

Three weeks might be too short of a time, depends on a lot of factors (age, weight, if ever been in ketosis before, etc)
