Too much protein? Or no?

So today I pretty much just did 1 meal omad…but didnt really get good macro ratios. It was like 125g protein 40%ish 75g fat 56% 10g carbs 4%

My goal protein is between 125 and 140 depending on activity. And fat around 175g if I were doing 3 meals a day

I also ran pretty hard and burned about 700 calories today at lunch.

My question is will this much protein hurt me? Or is it ok? I ate a meat heavy pizza. I probably should of cut back a little meat and added more cheese but to late lol.

I had a bbq pulled pork and bacon pizza on a chicken crustl

You’ll get yes, no, and maybe answers

I’m biased towards the “no” end based on my research over the last few months, but there’s no definitive answer.

The goal for fat is measured in satiety, not grams. If you hit your protien goal, kept carbs under 20 grams, and you’re not hungry, then GREAT. If you’re still hungry, eat more.

You are dead on your protein macro, don’t worry about hitting your fat; fat is only needed for filling you up UNTIL you’re in maintenance.

That’s what I was hoping y’all would say. I’m only about 3 weeks in I’m not really hungry. I eat in the evenings because i like to eat dinner with my wife and I start to feel a little weak. I would rather work off fat instead of just eat fat and use that for energy.

That’s exactly what happens when you become fat adapted. It’s possible you’re at that point already, but it usually takes 6-8 weeks. Until you get to that point you want to eat plenty of fat so your body gets used to have, and using, it for fuel.

How do you really know if your fat adapted

There’s no real test, but generally you can tell because the appetite drops significantly since your body is finally efficiently burning stored fat for energy and your energy leve goes up.

The energy level is really where I noticed it. Saturday morning would roll around and instead of just wanting to sit and watch Netflix, I’d start doing projects around the house or want to go out and DO something because I suddenly had energy to burn. I still remember my wife looking at me one weekend and asking “who the fuck are you?” It was an energy I had not experienced since I was a little kid.
