I go to lunch with my girls once a week and I knew that today we were most likely going to some Mexican place (Hello, Fajitas!), so I packed a small bag of pork rinds so I could partake of the salsa. Well, we went to a place we haven’t been in over a year and I asked the waitress as soon as I walked in if I could get some pork rinds to go with my salsa instead of tortilla chips. I was thinking along the lines of straight out of the bag like the ones I had in my purse…OMG, she came out with a plate full of fresh fried pork skins seasoned with salt!!! I almost fell out of the booth! And they didn’t charge me!!! Definitely going back there. Oh, and the fajitas were wonderful too. All this to say there is hope out there!

I have had this pleasure and surprise in a nearly identical circumstance. I paid for mine, frankly, I’d pay double what they charged.

If the fair reader doesn’t know what we’re talking about, get thee quickly to a Latin American restaurant that offers this.

Exactly why restaurants should be embracing Keto entrees/alternatives.
I keep waiting for Domino’s or Pizza Hut or Papa John’s, even Papa Murphy’s, to come out with a low carb, or even a chicken/meatza, pizza crust. With a low carb sauce, of course.
I’ve sent emails to a number of on-line food providers (e.g. nuts.com, schwans.com) and restaurants suggesting a “keto” or “low carb” spotlight of their offerings.
