Hi

I would maybe think about testing your TSH, T3 & T4 again, medichecks offer a finger prick blood for the above and it’s I think £59.00.

It could be that your T3 is too low, I know I keep going on about T3 results, but, until I joined thyroid forums and started reading books on this I didn’t realise how important T3 was, my T3 was brilliant despite increasing my Levothyroxine that’s why I ditched levo and went on NDT.

If it’s low you will struggle, many people have to add T3 to their Levothyroxine as adding more Levothyroxine pushes them up too high, it’s a balancing game I’m afraid.

As said GP and some endo’s don’t see the importance of testing T3.

Best wishes & good luck.

Thanks again, I think I will order another private one, I was thinking of getting reverse t3 as well to see if I’m converting too much that way. Did you ever check that?

I was told on the thyroid forums that it’s a waste of time as it doesn’t really tell you where the problem is.

I don’t feel 100% at the moment and I suspect my T3 is over range, I’m jittery, I’ve ordered a finger prick test from Medi checks to see.

You can request that a Medichecks GP looks at the results, but they follow the same guidelines as standard NHS GP.

I post my results on the thyroid forums for advice.

I’ve also noticed that since starting keto I don’t need as much thyroid medication.

Best wishes

I agree about keto and needing less, I was on 200mcg since about 17, and it pretty much stayed exactly the same until keto and then I needed less. I hope you get an answer to your jittery feeling, I hate that!
