I have been on a keto diet for about 5 weeks. I dont weigh and I’d prefer not to start. My ketosticks have stopped turning purple. I am not positive I am losing much yet. Should I invest in a breath amd blood meter? If so which?
To test or not to test?
I find the breath meter to be kind of finicky as well as slow - my Ketonix Bluetooth takes at least 10 minutes to warm up. And, once it’s warmed up, I seem to lack the technique for getting back-to-back readings which are reliably close.
I have two meters for testing blood ketones, a Keto Mojo and a Precision Xtra. I like the Keto Mojo due to the somewhat more affordable test strips.
Have you kept your net carbs under 20g? Congrats, you’re in ketosis. No reason to test. Unless your only reason for doing Keto is to see a color on a pee strip (extraordinarily unreliable), or a number on a blood tester.

I’ll test after eating certain foods to see what that does to both my blood glucose level in addition to blood ketone level. I’ve also (occasionally) been testing after exercise and after using certain supplements.
