To be or not to be....exercise is the question!

#1

When just starting keto, I am wondering if it is best I stick to low impact exercise before I start losing more weight and then should i start doing intensive strength training and more high impact.

Do you think it is a safer bet so I do not bulk or retain a lot of water? I have noticed that I bulk easily with too much HIIIIIIT!!

Also, I started adding MCT oil and got rid of carbonation. Any other foods that you think boost ketosis or add benefits or retract from it that we normally consume.

Any suggestions. Please comment.

I always add the exercise after I feel like I have a good handle on the “diet” and am seeing results from that alone. But it’s all a head game for me. I think I lost 20 pounds then added exercise. In some aspects I think it may slow down what the scales show… but my clothes and the way I look and feel tell the whole story. I can handle a slower scale, if I am getting stronger.

I’m always a fan of the strength training if you have to pick one for now. Resistance training equals more muscle which equals a higher RMR, which is always good. Cardio burns more calories when your doing it, but stops once you do. Carrying more muscle means a higher RMR throughout the day.

Water retention is dietary, what you do in the gym has near no effect on it, aside from sweating it back off.
