Tips for shaking things up

(Mitchell Broadway) #1

Looking for some tips on changing things up. I have been Keto for the last 7 months and have lost around 60 pounds, but lately I have been in a drawn out stall. I have another 50ish pounds I want to loose and want to get the weight loss in high gear again.

Ideas I am toying with:

  1. Zero Carb
  2. Switching from 1 meal to 2 meals a day to increase calories and hopefully boost metabolism (16/8 IF)
  3. Tracking macros (currently lazy keto)
  4. Dropping non-caloric sweeteners
  5. Exersize
  6. Some combination of some or all of these

Suggestions?

Thanks in advance.

Dropping the sweetners broke my 3 week stall in one day. I’ve lost 2 pounds.

Drop all the chemical rat poisons.

Have you used a good keto calculator recently after losing weight? You should re do those, as your body has gone through a lot of changes, you’ve dropped a lot of weight. .

You might want to do IFing most days but once week shot for 36 hrs. That really helped me reach my goal weight.

I vote for drop the sweetners and mix up the eating pattern. I meal today, 2 tomorrow, none the next day then 3. Keep your body guessing.

I’m by no means an expert, but I have heard and read quite a bit on body composition. Have your measurements changed at all while stalling? I would be curious to know if your body is doing other regulation just not losing weight per se.

Dropping sweeteners is good, especially if they’re artificial. Fasting can help. If you’ve been in a deficit for awhile, you could try 2 or 3 meals a day for a week or two, then fast, then full day eating, then IF. I think anything to keep your body guessing can be good.

If I’m eating a lot of stevia or dairy, i don’t lose weight

Simplify and drawdown

  1. Eliminate all natural or unnatural sweetnets amen!
  2. That’s a pretty lazy fast but a good one for maintenance
  3. I constantly do 24 hour fast and throwing extended fasting just for fun and massive results …
    2 to 3 days is fine…
    4)SLEEP 7.5 to 8.5 hrs consistently !!! NO LESS!!!
5)I walk a minimum of 20,000 steps per day guess what the coach me really healthy and keep everything functioning you’d like a well oiled machine
  4. remember nothing great happens in comfort zone comfort zones are dead zones there is no progress in them.
I’ve tried the one meal a day and that just lowers my metabolic rate WAY to much…
I eat two meals a day within a four hour window which leaves 20 hours for my body to do some internal cleaning…
  5. Salt salt salt
    Himalayan salt
    magnesium
    sodium
    potassium
    calcium
This will insure your bodies function of amino acids will be working correctly …

Good luck

I haven’t done measurements lately, but my cloths fit about the same. There seem to be some small changes, but not to explain the plateau.
