Thriva blood results

(angharad rosser) #1

Hello I’m new here!

I started the keto diet at the start of September and have lost 9 lbs so far. I recently did a blood test through thriva to check if there’s anything to be worried out. Everything was normal except for my cholesterol.

My results are:

LDL 5.67 mmol/l very high
Non HDL 6.25 mmol/l high / out of range
HDL 1.43 mmol/l. Optimal
Cholesterol 7.67 very high

Is this something to be worried about?

I forgot to add that my triglycerides\hdl are 0.89 in the normal range. Unfortunately my glucose test wasn’t returned because my sample clotted before they were able to test it.

The important ratio is Trigs/HDL where sub 1.0 is good and sub 0.87 is excellent .
Yours is 0.62 so excellent… well done.
How long had you fasted before the blood was taken?

It was about 12 hours

My perspective: All those look great to me, particularly ferritin and GGT and your liver functions.

If you’re concerned about your lipids (a) don’t be but (b) if you are, have them retested in at least 6 months or so. They can be quite variable for a while.

Thanks for the replies. I’ve got another test due in 3 months so I will see if there is any change.
